    Our Mission

    Our mission is simple:
To help pets in need, support the families who love them, and encourage young people to take action for animal welfare around the world.

I believe pets are more than animals — they’re companions, emotional support, and part of the family.
When a family can’t afford medical care for a pet, both the animal and the people who love it suffer.
We try to ease that pain by offering help where it matters most.

    Here’s what we focus on:

Helping with urgent or essential medical care when families are facing financial difficulty

Supporting small rescue shelters with food, supplies, and basic resources

Encouraging young people to get involved in animal welfare through hands-on learning and real action

Our mission is built on compassion, responsibility, and the belief that even small acts of kindness can make a real difference — for pets and for people.

    About QI Pet Rescue Foundation

    Our Beginning

The foundation’s story began when Michelle was only eleven years old.
While living and studying in Southern California, she often heard her father talk about the difficult situations many pets faced in China—families unable to afford medical care, abandoned animals, and small shelters struggling to survive.

One evening, after hearing another heartbreaking story, Michelle paused, looked up, and asked:

“Dad… is there anything we can do to help them?”

Because she was underage at the time, Michelle shared her ideas and compassion, while her father helped her reach out to major charity organizations in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
Only the Shenzhen Charity Federation responded—and they approved the creation of a dedicated pet-rescue fund:

This fund later inspired the name of our website, qijijin.com.
“QiJiJin” is written in Chinese pinyin and comes from the shared middle name of the two founding sisters.
It reflects their childhood bond, their love for animals, and the original spirit of kindness that started this journey.

It was the first charitable project Michelle and her younger sister ever built together—two young girls trying to make the world a little gentler for the animals that needed it most.

    Who We Are Today

Now led by Michelle and supported by young people across both China and the United States, QI Pet Rescue Foundation continues its work with a clear and compassionate purpose.

We help families who cannot afford urgent medical care for their pets.
We assist small rescue shelters with food, supplies, and emergency support.
We encourage youth involvement in pet welfare, promoting kindness and responsible care.

Pets bring comfort, companionship, and emotional support to young people.
Helping them means helping the families and communities they are part of.
