FOUNDERS

We are Michelle and Isabelle, two sisters from Southern California who grew up loving animals and caring deeply about their wellbeing.
When we were younger, our family had a small pet who was part of our everyday life. Losing that pet made us realize how vulnerable animals are — and how much they rely on the people who love them.

When we were 11 and 8, our father told us about the challenges many pets faced in China: families unable to afford medical care, abandoned animals, and small rescue groups struggling with limited resources.
We asked a simple question: “Is there anything we can do to help?”

That question became the beginning of our journey.

Because we were minors at the time, we shared our ideas with our father and worked together to contact major charity organizations. We wrote to foundations in Beijing and Shanghai but never received replies.
Only the Shenzhen Charity Federation responded. They reviewed our proposal, believed in the mission, and officially approved the establishment of the QiJi Pet Rescue Fund

Although the fund was legally registered under our father due to our age, the purpose and spirit came from our shared wish to help pets in need.

Over the years, we have supported families facing financial difficulty with pet medical expenses, assisted small rescue shelters with supplies, and encouraged more young people to take part in animal welfare.

As sisters, we believe that compassion can begin at any age, and even small actions can create meaningful change.
We will continue to grow the foundation together and work toward a future where more pets receive the care, respect, and love they deserve.
